The Nurture Ministry at Ocean View United Methodist Church seeks to help Christians grow in their walk of faith through education and programs aimed at Christian Growth. This Ministry encompasses the following areas – so there are lots of places for you to learn and to serve!

Christian Education

Sunday School for children, youth, and adults
Long term Bible studies
Short term topical studies, etc

Infant and Children’s Ministry

Infant and toddler nursery
Easter Egg Hunt
Vacation Bible School
Kids Choir, etc.

Youth Ministry

Devotions and worship
Mission and service projects
Retreats and concerts
Fellowship, etc.

Singles/Young Adults

Development of new programs, activities, devotions, etc.

Intergenerational Ministry

Lenten programs
Pentecost celebration
Family nights
Advent activities, etc.

Library

Media resources
Monthly book club

Fellowship meals

Bible, Beans, and Blessings
GRACE Wednesdays
Church picnics, etc.

Health Ministry

Nutrition classes
Diet support group, etc.

The Nurture Ministry is comprised of the leaders of the various departments listed above, however, all who wish to attend these meetings are always welcome! The Nurture Ministry Area meets once a month, usually the second Sunday of the month at 12:15 pm. Dates and times for the meetings will be posted on Ocean View’s web site church calendar.
