Welcome to Ocean View United Methodist!

Re-appointed as Lead Pastor at Ocean View Church for a 19th year! I don't think there is or has ever been a pastor beginning a 19th year at the same church who could be more excited and blessed as I feel!

God continues to "make all things new", and continues to make of us "a new creation"! The vision of Ocean View in the year 2010 is beginning to make itself known among us. The challenge of "clearing the decks" for action has us working together to pay off our construction debt. The call of those in need is being heard from "around the corner" with a new Habitat House project and from "around the world" in Burkina Faso, West Africa and in sister United Methodist churches on the island nation of Cuba! The invitation is given by Jesus to "come and see" as we "apprentice" ourselves to Jesus for the coming year. We step out in faith and begin to offer to others beyond Ocean View what God has taught us in the areas of Spiritual Leadership and our Organization for Ministry. "A New Song to the Lord" will be soon lifted as Ocean View begins our first-ever Handbell Choir. Cross-cultural Nurture, Outreach and Witness become a reality under the leadership of our Spanish-speaking members, who bring the Spirit 's presence with them wherever gathered! Work teams head for Haiti and Mississippi between now and the end of the year.
