Welcome to Ocean View United Methodist!

It's a new year! Somehow, perhaps because I was born in an even-numbered year, I look forward to years with even numbers, like 2012! And, to say it once and maybe not repeat it, I do not expect the world to end on December 21of this year, despite the Mayan calendar and all of the shows on TV! We have jokingly said that we will have a covered-dish dinner on the day after - Dec. 22 - so, stay tuned!

An exciting new opportunity at Ocean View in 2012 will be "Celebrate Recovery". You can find more information about it in our Newsletter. It includes a study of Jesus' own words in the New Testament, particularly the Beatitudes in the gospel of Matthew. Like our "Apprentice" classes, God's written and living Word is the focus of study, and small-group discussion helps to take them into our minds, so that we are renewed in our minds and transformed by the Spirit into the new life that Jesus brings.

If you "are looking for somewhere to be" in addition to Sunday worship, there is "something going on" at Ocean View on Monday evenings, Tuesday mornings and Tuesday evenings, Wednesday noon and Wednesday evenings, Thursday mornings and Thursday evenings, Friday evenings, and on Satuday mornings, Satuday noon and Saturday evenings each and every week!
