Ocean View World Missions
We understand the Lord’s Great Commission as a mandate to reach out to a hungry and hurting world. Ocean View Church supports missions which attempt to feed and heal by both physical and spiritual means.

Ebert Kakua School for the Deaf – Sierra Leone
Located in the New York section of Bo, the Ebert Kakua School for the Deaf serves over 100 students and is the only school for the deaf in the southern province of the country. Students learn math, English, science, and vocational studies – including farming and textiles.
Friends of Barnabas Health Care for Children in Honduras
Friends of Barnabas are improving the lives of impoverished children in Honduras by providing high quality sustainable healthcare and enabling communities to become self-sufficient through health-related training and education.
Rotifunk Mission of Hope Hospital in Sierra Leone, West Africa
The “Mission of Hope” in Rotifunk, Sierra Leone is a partnership between the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Sierra Leone Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church – working together to provide quality healthcare to the impoverished people of Sierra Leone – with a focus on those living in and around the town of Rotifunk. Efforts have been underway since Dec 2013 and much has been done, including the partial refurbishment of the Rotifunk hospital (serving 145,000 people), but there is still much to do.
Rise Against Hunger
Rise Against Hunger is growing a global movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies. Ocean View Church is host to a Rise Against Hunger meal packing event where local groups and individuals come together and package nutritious meals in this global mission to help feed a hungry world.
United Methodist Volunteers In Missions
SEJ is the short-term mission sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.
