Ocean View World Missions

We understand the Lord’s Great Commission as a mandate to reach out to a hungry and hurting world. Ocean View Church supports missions which attempt to feed and heal by both physical and spiritual means.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Guaimaca Honduran Mission to the Dominican Sisters’ Clinic

Ocean View supports missions teams to the Dominican Sisters Mission in Guaimaca, Honduras. The mission includes a farm and school for area children, along with a medical and dental clinic which serve the entire region.

Rotifunk Mission of Hope Hospital in Sierra Leone, West Africa

The “Mission of Hope” in Rotifunk, Sierra Leone is a partnership between the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church and the Sierra Leone Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church – working together to provide quality healthcare to the impoverished people of Sierra Leone – with a focus on those living in and around the town of Rotifunk. Efforts have been underway since Dec 2013 and much has been done, including the partial refurbishment of the Rotifunk hospital (serving 145,000 people), but there is still much to do.

Rise Against Hunger

Ocean View Church will host a Rise Against Hunger meal packing event on March 2, where local groups and individuals can engage in this global mission to help feed a hungry world.

United Methodist Volunteers In Missions

SEJ is the short-term mission sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.
